The fresh wild bay scallops are caught locally by the fishermen of bays and harbours of the east coast areas.The meat is not seen free, it is the muscle hidden in scallop shells and it has a gentle taste(sweet & tender). The bay scallops are more in delicate meat and are smaller than the sea scallops. Because of their size, bay scallops cook very fast and require little preparation. Herbs can make this flavourful and deep frying and pan searing is also best choices.
They are a great choice for someone trying Scallops for the first time, or if you prefer more subtly tasting seafood.
